Something magical tends to happen when you put all the puzzle pieces together and identify the impact you were meant to have in this world.
For Maxime Bellemare, better known as Max Le Barbier, that magic found him in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida. It was there through the help of a mentor and friend that Max realized the world of barbering was his calling. He knew however that while almost anyone with a steady hand and a set of clippers can “cut hair”, it takes something more to build relationships, build a community and build a movement. In 2014, from modest beginnings, that vision was realized and KRWN was born.
Realizing that he would need a way to connect with men from all walks of life, Max sought to create a space where modern gentlemen could congregate and have their best selves brought to the forefront and presented to the world. A place where the unique characteristics of each man were celebrated and refined. A place where a man could leave more confident than when he walked in and a combined product line that allowed each user to feel and smell infinitely better after they used it. All this while still having the highest respect for the tradition and culture of a local barbershop, albeit with a modern twist.
Initially without the finances to fund a massive operation, Max, along with a childhood friend, began in a vacant warehouse, vigorously testing various product formulas until at last their signature formula was discovered. That very same formula, to this day forms the foundation of KRWN’s Original Collection which includes the original pomade, beard oil, shower gel and the tonic spray. Over time, both Sea and Earth Collections have been added to the product line, all with the intention of keeping KRWN clients sharp in the way they feel, look and smell.
Today, walk into any of the current 8 locations of KRWN and one thing becomes immediately apparent...you are part of the family. It is to that very concept to which they owe their success. Every barber part of the KRWN family is trained in-house from scratch, with the highest professional standards so you can be confident that when you sit for a session, your barber is trained and up to date with the latest skills, tools, techniques and trends. That is the reason why KRWN barbers share Max’s vision because they too have found their calling and have the opportunity to further their careers in the industry. After hiring and training over 50 professional barbers to date, we have gone ahead and built our very own education and certification program to help further the careers and ambitions of barbers all over the globe.
